Carletta S. Hurt, founder and lead producer at IKAM Productions, is an award-winning producer, passionate educator, and fierce youth advocate. Her film credits include JACQUELINE AND JILLY (feature), THE CATCHER (short), WATER IN A BROKEN GLASS (feature), JACKIE (short), REMEMBER THE TITANS, and DRUMLINE. Carletta has worked at TBS and Cartoon Network during her early days. She also produces theatre and has worked with some of Hollywood’s leading ladies like Jane Fonda, Eve Ensler, Pearl Cleage, and Jasmine Guy.

Carletta is the Immediate Past President of Women in Film & Video DC (WIFV) and a dual member of Women in Film & Television – Atlanta (WIFTA). She was instrumental in honoring filmmaker, Julie Dash, in 2017 as a Women of Vision honoree. Carletta is in the early stages of a webseries that showcases the many facets of the American education system.

A graduate of Oglethorpe University and Georgia State University, Carletta was sought after to assist in creating the Arthur M. Blank Family – Blank Fellows program and lead a film project for them that engaged high school students in creating mini-documentaries about their changing neighborhood. She is dedicated to creating a space for new, unique voices to be heard and a platform to showcase rising talent that deserves a chance especially if they are women.

Carletta is a self-proclaimed SUDKO Champion, word wizard in Scrabble and Words with Friends and enjoys warm pecan pie.
