During the festival two volunteer vouchers can be traded in for a ticket to one of our higher-priced films or concerts. Volunteering for six shifts or more during the Festival, earns you a Festival pass. Volunteers also get snacks, t-shirts, invitations to special programs, and insider information about upcoming events.

Ways to Volunteer

EVENT VOLUNTEERS

Help during our film screenings, concerts and other events by ushering and greeting guests, operating will call or taking tickets at the door. Please note in many instances you will be allowed to see part of the event during the time in which you are volunteering. However, due to volunteering responsibilities, you will likely miss the first and last 15 minutes. Being able to watch the event is not a guarantee.

SCREEN TESTING VOLUNTEERS

Want to gain exclusive access to films before they are premiered to the public? Want to help JxJ ensure that our audiences receive the best possible film experience when they attend our screenings? Sign up to be a JxJ Screen Tester today! Volunteers will aid with tech checks of films before they are screened at festival and year-round events. We need your help! Fill out the form below to sign-up today!

OFFICE VOLUNTEERS

Join our dedicated office volunteer team and assist with data entry, materials organization, and other daily office tasks. There are more opportunities for this volunteer team in the lead-up to the annual Film Festival, however, we have plenty of opportunities during the Year-Round program as well. DISTRIBUTION VOLUNTEERS

Have some extra time and love talking about the Festival? Join our outgoing Distribution Team to help us spread the word about our Year-Round and Festival events to local businesses. We’ll provide an instructional guide, neighborhood map, and stacks of brochures & flyers for you to get started. Do you know an area or business that would like our materials displayed? We’d love to hear about it! Fill out the form below and apply today!

CONCIERGE VOLUNTEERS

Our dedicated team of concierge volunteers play a crucial role in our festival. These dedicated members offer up their time, vehicles, and driving experience to help get our international guests and filmmakers around town. They make our talkbacks, workshops, concerts, and guest appearance happen! Concierge volunteers also get to mingle exclusively with international filmmakers and musicians, and in exchange they get an all-access pass. If you have a car and are interested please film out the form below. Help us make the festival happen!
